Tamannaah Bhatia Signed For Sajid Khan's 'Himmatwala'

Filmmaker Sajid Khan had been tight-lipped about the name of the new face, who would be cast opposite Ajay Devgn in the remake of 'Himmatwala'. But as it is said that in B-town nothing can remain secret for long, the name of the new lady is out.

Speculation regarding the new face being introduced in Sajid Khan's 'Himmatwala' has now come to an end. It has been learnt that Tamannaah Bhatia, who is a Telugu and Tamil actress would be playing the lead opposite Ajay in 'Himmatwala'.

Kumar Mangat, Ajay Devgn's business associate has also confirmed the name of the lady by saying, "Yes, it's Tamannaah opposite Ajay in Himmatwala. The shooting starts in August. Ajay has 'Bol Bachchan' on release and 'Son Of Sardaar' is almost complete. 'Himmatwala' is the only other project he will start this year."

According to the grapevine, initially the role of the female lead was offered to Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma but they turned down the offer. Then Ajay Devgn suggested to Sajid and Vashu Bhagnani to cast a Southern actress. He has already delivered a big hit at the BO with a Tamil-Telugu actress Kajal Aggarwal in 'Singham'.

Tamannaah is not entirely new for the Bollywood. She has already made her debut in Hindi films in 'Chand Sa Roshan Chehra', which was a flop. But similar to Sridevi, her fate too can change with the remake of 'Himmatwala'!
