Yesterday, BollywoodMDB informed our readers that KriArj Entertainment and Shree Narayan Singh have approached beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to portray the role of a surrogate mother in their upcoming film, ‘Jasmine – Story of a leased womb’. Though the makers are yet to finalize the lead actress, they have released the first poster of the film and it looks fascinating. ‘Jasmine’ revolves around the concept of surrogacy. The film will be produced by Shree Narayan and directed by the writer-director duo, Siddharth-Garima. Although the makers are keen to have Aishwarya on board and have already approached her for the role, producer Prernaa Arora maintains, “We would love to have her but it will depend on her dates.” Have a look at the poster.

Explaining the basic theme of the story Shree Narayan had earlier said, "Jasmine is the journey of a girl to motherhood, of eternal love between a mother and a child. I have always wanted to work on a women-centric film and I'm able to do so." He further added, “It is inspired by a real-life story of a woman in Gujarat who doesn’t want to have children but decides to become a surrogate mother to someone else. After a point, she gets attached to the child and wants the child back.” He adds that they will roll after the monsoon as the writers need time to perfect their script and prep up.

Helmed by Siddharth-Garima, it is being jointly produced by KriArj Entertainment, Shree Narayan Singh, and Vashu Bhagnani and will reportedly come out in 2019.
