Film makers and audience are always inclined towards Sufi songs, despite having an undying thirst for Bollywood masala songs and it is being proved from time to time. Though not so frequent, it is mostly used to make a statement or signify particular revelation in the storyline. Hence, director of Partition 1947, Gurinder Chadha thought to put a well-known Sufi song, Duma Dum Mast Kalander, in her upcoming historical drama starring Huma Qureshi, Manish Dayal, and late Om Puri. The Partition 1947 is a British-Indian historical drama being dubbed into Hindi, and its English version is titled as Viceroy's House and its Hindi dubbed version will be releasing on 18th August. The film features the cast of Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson and Michael Gambon, Darshan Jariwala, Sarah-Jane Dias and also Neeraj Kabi!
