The remake of ‘Sairat’ finally to go on floors on December 1st!
The much-awaited remake of ‘Sairat’ is on holds for quite a long time now, but finally it’s revealed that it will go on floors from 1st of December.
We know that many star kids are about to mark their debut in 2018 and one of them is Jhanvi Kapoor, daughter of seasoned actress Sridevi. The debut of the glamorous star kid is in talks for quite a long time now. While few reports initially claimed that she would debut with ‘Student Of The Year 2’, others claimed that she will be seen in the remake of the Marathi blockbuster ‘Sairat’. Both films were to be produced by Karan Johar. Now it has been confirmed that she will debut with the remake of ‘Sairat’ opposite Ishaan Khattar, younger brother of Shahid Kapoor. There were many speculations going on with the commencement of this film and now it is final that the film will go on floors on 1st of December.
Though the remake will mark the debut of Jhanvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khattar will be first seen in acclaimed Iranian director Majid Majidi’s ‘Beyond The Clouds’. Ishaan’s first film will be released in early 2018 while the ‘Sairat’ remake will hit screens in the mid of next year.
Shashank Khaitan will helm the Hindi remake of Sairat. A few months ago, it was reported that Karan had apparently asked Nagraj Manjule (Sairat director) to give guidance to Shashank for the remake, but he had refused to come on board for the same.
When the director was asked about the same, he rubbished the news. He said, "From where are these reports coming from? I feel it's a joke because we didn't have a conversation about this. And any sensible person would help if he has been asked to. I have never met Karan Johar, but I would love to meet him and I love his movies. This is untrue."
Most of the star kids who have made their debut of late have failed to make a name for themselves in Bollywood. So, it will be great to see whether or not Jhanvi manages to replicate the success of her iconic mother.
