TV Star Karan Wahi expands health food business!

It’s a big day for actor Karan Wahi , whose food venture Frunch Us has got a brand new outlet in Lokhandwala Andheri. While the existing branch at Juhu has got a positive response, Karan was keen on opening another outlet. “I started this venture because being an actor we keep looking for places which can provide us good food which is yummy and healthy. Places like these just give us a great variety,” he says.

Ask him what was his thought process behind starting this venture, and he says, “I have been into fitness. I feel a lot of times, we keep working out like maniacs and forget that food and nutrition is a big part of fitness. Actually, it is as important as working out. Fitness stands on a tripod that consists of exercise, rest and nutrition,” he says.

He adds, “A lot of us don’t have the time to cook or keep people to cook for ourselves. This is why I thought of this service. It’s actually a meal service which can be delivered to any place in Mumbai at any time. So, for example, if someone enrols for a 3 meal plan, his breakfast lunch and dinner would reach him at the designated address and time. Also, the new place is a sit-down café, which works for people who are looking for an outing as well.”

What are his favourites at the café? “Well, I love the Devils Eggs, which we have. They are both healthy and yummy. The butter chicken is a surprise as well. This is because it is made in very little butter but tastes much better than what you get outside. Besides this, fish is my favourite.”

On the work front, the actor is currently shooting for his Bollywood debut film, Hate Story 4 with Urvashi Rautela .
