Bipasha Basu is known to avoid kiss in the movies. She had approached many filmmakers in the past to drop any lip lock scene between her and her co-star (irrespective of the image of the star). Earlier there was a lip lock scene between her and Ranbir Kapoor in the film ' Siddharth Raj Anand ' but she kept on arguing and convincing its director Siddharth Raj Anand to drop the kissing scene over a period of one month and finally he had to listen to her.
She had also denied to kiss Rana Daggubati in ' Dum Maaro Dum ' despite he was good friend of her.
So what made her to kiss Emraan Hashmi in ' Raaz 3 '?
According to her, she agreed to kiss Emraan Hashmi in this film because Emraan has made an image like that and audience expects him to give kissing scenes in his films. Any film in which he has not kissed (like ' Shanghai ') didn't do well at the box office whereas all his films in which he has given kissing scenes have become hits. So she thought that audience would backlash her if she didn't kiss him in this film.
To the media she has said, "I was in fact laughing with Emraan the other day that due to his image, there was no scope of any discussion whatsoever around a kiss being dropped. If I would have done that, I am sure audience would have hit me. Sometimes you have to just play along with audience expectations. If they want a kiss between me and Emraan, they will get it. I don't want any backlash."
