Till date YRF have shot different memorable films like \'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge\', \'Veer-Zaara\' and \'Bachna Ae Haseeno\' in Chandigarh. This production house wanted to shoot a flash mob sequence in the city for their upcoming film \'Mere Dad Ki Maruti\' but they were denied permission to shoot in Chandigarh.
\'Mere Dad Ki Maruti\' is a venture of Y Films, which is the youth projects division of YRF. The film has been shot exclusively in and around the city. The makers wanted to shoot a flash mob sequence in Sector 17 and capture the live reaction of the audience during this particular sequence. But they were unable to do so as they were refused permission by the concerned authority.
The reason given for the denial is that Sector 17 is an area that is always crowded. Hence, the authority thought that the area would get chaotic if shooting would be held there.
