Sonam Kapoor celebrates 20 years of friendship with her 'favourite actress' Rani Mukerji, shares a sweet note

Sonam Kapoor, who is expecting her first child on Friday, met Rani Mukerji, her "favourite actress. Rani Mukerji visited Anil Kapoor's residence for Sunita Kapoor's birthday celebrations on Saturday, where she met Sonam. Sonam honoured her and Rani's 20-year relationship with a lovely post on social media. Rani also received a late birthday greeting from the soon-to-be mum.

Sharing the picture on her social media handle, Sonam penned a heartfelt note for the Saathiya (2002) actress that read, "A friendship that's lasted 20 years. Love you, Rani. Also belated happy birthday to my favourite actress."

In the pictures, Sonam is dressed in a white shirt and her hair is styled in a braided bun whereas Rani Mukerji donned a blue sleeveless satin top.

For the uninitiated, Rani Mukerji celebrated her birthday on March 21, the same day Sonam Kapoor revealed that she and Anand Ahuja are expecting their first child.

Sonam Kapoor made her acting debut in 2007 the film Saawariya, which also featured Rani Mukerji in a key role.

Rani attended Sunita Kapoor's birthday event at Anil Kapoor's residence last night with Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Neetu Kapoor, and others. While leaving Anil Kapoor's residence, she also posed with him. Rani and Anil's photos also went viral on social media.

Kapoor revealed on March 21 that she and her spouse Anand Ahuja are expecting their first child this fall in a social media post. She also shared a couple photos of herself laying on the couch with Ahuja, cuddling her growing baby belly.

In 2018, the pair married in a traditional wedding ceremony in Mumbai.
