Kajol's most recent film, Salaam Venky, bombs at the box office. On Day 3, hardly anyone showed out to see the movie when it was released on December 9. The movie's director is Revathy, and Vishal Jethwa portrays Salaam Venky, the main character. The movie opened weakly on the weekend and struggled to do well commercially. Salaam Venky makes mentions euthanasia.

In Salaam Venky, Kajol plays the mother of a son with Duchenne muscular dystrophy who is 24 years old. The movie has no fans, due to it barely making any money on Sunday, December 11. It only received Rs 70 lakh on Day 3 as a whole. The total revenue has only reached Rs 2 crore as a result. Salaam Vdenky faces stiff competition from other big-budget movies like Drishyam 2, Bhediya, and An Action Hero. At the box office, the film is doing far better than the other two releases, Vadh and Marrich.

The financial backers of Salaam Venky are Shraddha Agrawal and Suraj Singh. Mithoon made up the music, as far as that is concerned. Rahul Bose, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Prakash Raj are in the movie as well. Aamir Khan appears in the film in a significant cameo. Based on Shrikant Murthy's novel The Last Hurrah, Salaam Venky explores the sensitive topic of euthanasia, which is simply defined as the deliberate taking of a person's life in order to relieve them of their suffering. Vishal Jethwa and Kajol play the two main characters.
