Indira Devi, Mahesh Babu's mother, dies in Hyderabad

Indira Devi, the mother of Mahesh Babu, left Hyderabad today for her heavenly home. Indira Devi was reportedly not feeling well for a few weeks and was receiving treatment for it at a private hospital. According to several reports, she reportedly spent some time on a ventilator until she passed away.

The family released a statement after informing them of the terrible news: "The mother of Superstar Mahesh Babu and wife of Superstar Krishna, Shri Ghattamaneni Indira Devi, passed away this morning. Her body will be kept for people to visit at the Padmalaya studio starting at 9:00 AM today, and after that, the final rites will be carried out at Mahaprasthan. Family and friends have comforted Mahesh Babu and his father, Krishna, using the hashtag "#IndiraDevi." Indira Devi's mortal remains will be kept at Padmalaya Studios for homage purposes, and today at Mahaprasthan, her final rituals will be performed.

Megastar Chiranjeevi posted an homage to the deceased: "It is tragic to hear about Mrs. Indira Devi's demise. Superstar Krishna, his brother Mahesh Babu, and the entire family have my sincere condolences."

A hard year for Mahesh Babu

Mahesh Babu, a celebrity, has had a challenging year due to the death of his older brother, actor Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu, in January 2022. Due to problems with his liver, the actor passed away at the age of 56.
