Nayanthara demands a hefty paycheque to romance Chiranjeevi in Godfather?

After sharing the screen space with him in the multilingual film Sye Ra Narsimha Reddy (2019), popular actress Nayanthara is set to reunite with megastar Chiranjeevi in the much-awaited Telugu film Godfather. She plays the romantic interest of the superstar in the film. The makers confirmed the same recently by dropping a poster featuring Nayanthara in it.

If reports are to be believed, Nayanthara will be receiving a fat paycheque to star opposite the legendary actor in Godfather. She is reportedly charging a whopping amount of ₹4 crore as her remuneration. If the reports are true, this would be the highest ever remuneration paid to any Tollywood actress so far for a regional film.

Godfather is the official remake of the successful Malayalam film Lucifer (2019). Chiranjeevi essays the same character in the remake that Mollywood superstar Mohanlal played in the original. The political action thriller written by Murali Gopi and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Godfather will also see Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in it. Khan will be seen shaking a leg with Chiranjeevi in a dance number. Super Good Films and Ram Charan’s Konidela Production Company are jointly bankrolling the film.

Godfather is due in cinemas in mid-2022.
