The cast of 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' have been actively promoting the upcoming sequel to Mani Ratnam's magnum opus. Trisha and Jayam Ravi, the movie's leads, recently lost their social media accounts due to the film's promotion. Both actors have verified Twitter accounts, and in order to better promote their movie, they changed their handles to correspond with the characters they play. Unlike Trisha, who changed her Twitter handle to Kundavai, Jayam Ravi did so to Arunmozhi Varman.
Due to Twitter's stringent rules, however, as soon as the celebrities changed their handles, they also lost their verified Blue Tick status.

According to Twitter's new guidelines for account verification, one's ID should not be dishonest in order to receive a blue tick. This implies that the profile picture, display name, and username on a user's account cannot have recently changed. As a result, Trisha and Jayam Ravi lost their blue ticks as soon as they changed their Twitter handles.
Trisha, an actress who goes by the handle trishtrashers, quickly resumed her name and display image but is still awaiting her blue tick. Actor Jayam Ravi, who goes by the username actor_jayamravi, has chosen to forego the blue tick and not resume his true identity.

On Twitter, Trisha Krishnan has 5.4 million followers, while the actor from Comali has 4 million. The sequel to the Mani Ratnam-directed movie is anticipated to break several box office records.
