Rajinikanth to begin filming his next with Nelson in August?

According to reports, megastar Rajinikanth will start shooting for his next film in August. Nelson Dilipkumar is onboard to direct the upcoming film, tentatively titled Thalaivar 169, which was officially announced earlier in February.

Dilipkumar is currently waiting for the release of his next directorial Beast. Starring Vijay and Pooja Hegde in lead roles, the film is scheduled to hit screens on April 13. This is the first time the filmmaker has teamed up with Rajinikanth.

In a recent interview, Dilipkumar had revealed that the team was looking at beginning production on Thalaivar 169 in July. The shoot has now been shifted to August as pre-production work for the film requires some more time.

As far as the leading lady of the film is concerned, reports are doing the rounds that the makers have approached Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to pair alongside Rajinikanth. The two have previously worked together on the 2010 blockbuster Robot. Buzz has it that Priyanka Mohan might be playing a pivotal part in the film. The rest of the cast is yet to be finalised.
