Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s song Rushimooniyon Ka from Shaakuntalam is out now!

Dev Mohan and Samantha Prabhu are preparing to release their movie Shaakuntalam. Before it was officially released, Tips Music and Gunaa Teamworks made the second song from the epic mythological movie, named "Rushimooniyon Ka," available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The slow-moving love ballad "Rushimooniyon Ka" describes the first encounter, the escalating warmth, and the blossoming love between two individuals. A subtle melody, like a river in the forest, Mani Sharma's song is calm throughout and flowing softly in the centre and quickly in the corners. The voices of Naresh Iyer and Chinmayi give the song a calming smoothness while still adding the necessary vigour. Prashant Ingole's lyrics beautifully capture the development of a wonderful romantic relationship.

When discussing the song, Samantha Ruth Prabhu said, “It is such a beautiful song depicting the emotions of two lovers. The song encompasses their feelings for each other and their expression of love for each other, in the heart of the forest. Mani Sharma sir's composition is so enchanting, that it makes you want to hear it on repeat. Chinmayi & Naresh Iyer have done a phenomenal job with their vocals."

Singer Naresh Iyer shared, "I am honoured to be a part of the song. It is unlike all the songs we hear today. In today's fast-paced world, Rushimooniyon Ka is a testament to the fact that gentle, slow-paced and story-based music is still widely loved. It was great working with Mani Sharma sir, I learnt a lot from him."

Samantha plays the title role in the movie, which is based on the critically acclaimed Sanskrit play Abhigyana Shaakuntalam by Kalidasa. Actor Dev Mohan plays King Dushyanta. The movie, which is being made under the auspices of Dil Raju Presents, Sri Venkateswara Creations, and Gunaa Teamworks, is slated for release on February 17, 2023. Allu Arha, Sachin Khedekar, Kabir Bedi, Dr. M. Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, and Jisshu Sengupta also appear in the Gunasekhar-directed and Neelima Guna-produced movie.
