Young Achiever: Meet Ujwal Kulkarni, the 19-YO editor of KGF Chapter 2

KGF Chapter 2 (2022) starring Kannada superstar Yash has smashed all the records at the box office and is well on course to create history. The magnum opus had set a new record in advance booking and has now broken the box office records on day one of its release. As per reports, KGF 2 earned Rs 134.50 crore on its opening day.

While the actors who played the lead roles are winning laurels for their spectacular performances, a 19-year-old boy who worked behind the curtains is also in news for the superbly shot action sequences in the magnum opus.

The youngster is none other than Ujjwal Kulkarni- the editor-in-chief of KGF Chapter 2. His name was recently the most searched one on the internet and his achievements at the tender age of 19 came to the forefront when Yash spoke about him in an interview.

The story as to how Ujjwal came onboard KGF Chapter 2 is even more interesting.

It so happened that after the release of KGF in 2018, Ujjwal edited several fan videos and shared them on his YouTube channel. One of the videos caught the attention of KGF director Prashanth Neel’s wife and she informed her husband about the talented young lad who is so passionate about his craft.

Prashanth was equally impressed by Ujjwal’s editing skills and offered him the opportunity to edit KGF Chapter 2. The filmmaker also trained Ujjwal under his mentorship and that further boosted the latter’s confidence.

Ujjwal’s journey and his success story validates the maxim that age doesn't matter – talent does. The inherent skills, passion, zest, character and commitment are of greater importance than someone's date of birth.
