One shocker after another! It must be a nightmare of the makers of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to deal with cast fleeing out of show. Earlier, cast members like Karan Mehra aka Naitik, Hina Khan aka Akshara and Rohan Mehra aka Naksh already quit the show and now, another cast member to quit the show is Kanchi Singh who plays Gayatri Nikhil Deora, aka Gayu, Naira's cousin! Though it was more of a supporting character, the actress was unhappy with work, hence she decided to quit!
As per India-Forums ’s report, Kanchi was unhappy with the way her track was shaping up to be and her character was side-lined too. Hence, after a lot of thought-churning, she decided to quit the show and her exit track will air somewhere around September in the coming episode! Although she also mentioned how thankful she is of the producer Rajan Shahi for giving her the opportunity and it is just a creative decision she had to make!
Thought she also mentioned that she will be looking forward for more of a leading role in the daily soaps! As for now she is serving her 3 month notice period for the production house. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the longest-running show on Star Plus and the first episode was aired on January 12th 2009 and meanwhile earned hefty TPR ratings and huge fan base!
