Akshita Mudgal on her new show Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain and closure of Ishk Par Zor Nahi

Popular television actress Akshita Mudgal, who was last seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Ishk Par Zor Nahi, currently stars in the new drama Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain. The show, produced by Saurabh Tewari, also features Hitesh Bharadwaj in the lead role. Both play IAS aspirants.

Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain revolves around a couple who goes through several highs and lows in their lives. The show tries to shed light on the issues a couple faces where the wife becomes more successful than her husband and how social dynamics change around them.

While Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain is off to a good start, Akshita Mudgal recently opened up about the sudden closure of her previous show Ishk Par Zor Nahi and how OTT platforms have posed a threat to television.

“I think, yes, we all know that it is time for OTT and people switch more to it than on television. Our show did work very, very well as far as online TRP is concerned and we were also in top 5, but it did not do well in terms of the TRPs, which, to be honest, I do not know either, but I am happy that it ended on a nice note, and we did not stretch the storyline and I am happy people did not feel like that. It was a story of a few months and a short period, I am happy. Shows come and they go, it is destiny, and there are a lot of reasons, one of the biggest being OTT.”
