Channa Mereya: Karan Wahi talks about his return to daily soaps after six years
Karan Wahi opened up about how his sabbatical from TV shows didn’t really bother him.

Model, actor, and host Karan Wahi was last seen in the sequel of the web series Never Kiss Your Best Friend. The actor is set to return to daily soap after a gap of six-year. He will be starring in the upcoming show Channa Mereya opposite Niyati Fatnani.
Speaking about his return to TV shows, the actor revealed, “For the longest time, people asked ‘why don’t you do TV’. I believe there is a certain funda that I work on. Working on TV is not an issue but the time frame that you have to give in or the monotony that kicks in because you are doing the same thing over and over again. Sometimes you become complacent and we don’t get to know that. I felt so drawn to how the producers made me sit down and take me through the character. That’s rare to happen.”
The actor acknowledged that he had plans to perform in another production, but none of the offers came through. When asked how many shows he has since been rejected, he responded immediately, “I would not want to answer that question. Because even if I answer that question with much humility, it will sound pompous.” He further elaborated saying, “I have tried doing TV for the last few years. But I want to do the work that makes me happy and not just for money. Initially, money was a necessity because we didn’t make that much. But with time you look for more.”
Wahi recently broke up with his girlfriend Uditi Singh, and both of them deleted all their pictures from Instagram. When Karan was asked about his relationship, the actor chose not to answer it.
