Is Tina Philip replacing Pooja Banerjee on Ekta Kapoor’s Kumkum Bhagya?

It is no secret that actress Pooja Banerjee is no longer a part of Ekta Kapoor’s popular show Kumkum Bhagya. The actress quit the show as she is currently pregnant and is expected to welcome her first child in a few months from now.

Ever since Banerjee put her papers down, the makers of Kumkum Bhagya have been hunting for an actress who could fit the bill to play the negative character of Rhea Mehra on the show. The latest we hear is that they have finally found someone to replace Banerjee.

According to reports, actress Tina Philip is in consideration to bag the part. She was most recently seen in Star Bharat's show Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya where she had replaced actress Bhumika Gurung.

For those not in the know, the character of Rhea Mehra was originally played by actress Naina Singh. The actress had quit the show due to some creative differences with the makers, making the way for the entry of Pooja Banerjee.

Kumkum Bhagya is one of the longest-running shows on Indian television. It hit the airwaves in 2014 and has been entertaining audiences ever since. The show is produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms and airs on ZEE TV.
