Jiya Shankar On Not Dating Abhishek Malhan: If Something Was Meant To Happen...

Bigg Boss OTT 2 turned out to be quite an interesting watch and while the show witnessed several bonds, one that has often been talked about it that between inmates Jiya Shankar and Abhishek Malhan. The two did come close to each other and they in fact, also shared a vlog of how they had dinner together and went on a long drive as well.

This, obviously led to people being happy about the two, and AbhiYa fans were rooting for them. However, though Jiya did admit that she likes Abhishek, the duo is just friends.

She recently told in an interview, "Abhishek and I became friend inside the house and we are still friends. But nothing beyond that. It is difficult to be friends or sustain a friendship when the other person does not stay in the same city. He is in Delhi and I am in Mumbai. So, how are we going to go on with this friendship?"

Many did believe that they might try and work out a relationship with each other, and to this, Jiya says, "It has to happen organically. If something was meant to happen, it would have, but it did not. I am not someone who would like to force a relationship because I like a person. We are all busy in our lives; he is pursuing his work and I am pursuing mine. So, there is nothing much to say on this."

For the unversed, Jiya is known for several TV shows, including Laal Ishq, Meri Hanikarak Biwi, among others. She received a lot of love for her role in Ved, and has also been a part of several South films.
