Rupali Ganguly, Anupamaa fame, says her husband took early retirement to care for their child: ‘I have probably failed as a mother’

With the success of her program Anupamaa, actor Rupali Ganguly, who has worked in the television industry for almost 20 years, is enjoying unmatched fame. The actor frequently works 12-hour shifts and travels to locations for outdoor filming. Rupali claimed in a recent interview that her husband Ashwin K. Verma retired early so he could look after their kid Rudransh while she went to work.

"I am blessed to have a husband who is so supportive," she said.

He left America and took early retirement. Whether or not I work is irrelevant. We have few strong desires. The actor said that the pair refers to Ashwin as their son's mother and father because they understand that their baby needs at least one of them to be present.

Our child just needs one parent, he added. My child was never left with home help.

Not that they're terrible. A beautiful girl looked after him. They are my family. However, I have never actually dropped my kid off at work. My hubby is quite encouraging. He feels that at least one parent is necessary for our child. Together with Rudransh, he was present. He doubles as his mother and father. I most likely failed as a mother. But he has been a wonderful father and mother to my boy, she said.

She said that her son has never watched her television program. He's never watched Anupamaa. If Anupamaa is speaking, he enters the room, conceals his face, and then exits. When I started working again,, he was six and a half years old. He initially reasoned that Anupamaa was his second family, which is why his mother did not spend much time with him. He must have missed our time spent together, she claimed.
