Rupali Ganguly pens down a heartfelt note for iconic musician Bappi Lahiri

The demise of iconic composer and singer Bappi Lahiri has broken the hearts of many music lovers and fans across the globe. Known for delivering hit numbers in several successful Bollywood films, Lahiri passed away owing to multiple health issues. He was 69.

As per the official statement released by the family, Lahiri’s last rites will take place on Thursday afternoon once his son, Bappa Lahiri, returns from the USA. Meanwhile, several Bollywood and TV celebrities have paid rich tributes to the legendary musician.

Among those mourning the irreparable loss is Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly, who was extremely close to the singer. For the uninitiated, Ganguly’s father Anil Ganguli and Lahiri worked together on many successful films in the ‘80s.

The actress took to social media and shared a photo with him. She wrote in the caption, “So many memories… childhood spent at your house … Pappa and you started from Agreement and went on to do so many films and evergreen songs… so many recordings… so many conversations… so much love and warmth … You always singing “Yaar Bina Chain Kahan Re” every time we met … our conversations about Pappa … Will miss u … for me an era has ended today…”
