Sai Ketan Rao confirms being approached for Star Plus’ Chikoo Ki Mummy Durr Kei

A couple of days ago, we informed our readers that Star Plus is set to introduce a 10-year generation leap on one of its popular shows, Chikoo Ki Mummy Durr Kei. The audience will see a slew of changes post leap, including lead characters.

Delhi-based actor Simran Tomar has been finalised to play the role of grown-up Chikoo on the show. After roping in Tomar, the makers started searching for an actor for the male lead. Looks like their search ended on popular television actor Sai Ketan Rao.

Yes, last seen on Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali, Rao has been approached to play the male lead on Chikoo Ki Mummy Durr Kei. When a leading publication got in touch with the actor, he confirmed the development, and said, “Yes, I have been approached for the show but nothing is finalised. I have to schedule dates.”

Actors Paridhi Sharma and Himanshu Malhotra, who played lead characters on Chikoo Ki Mummy Durr Kei, will no longer be associated with the show post leap. From what we hear is that the makers have decided to introduce new characters around Valentine's Day.
