A couple of days ago, we informed our readers about Star Plus’ show Vidrohi facing the axe due to low TRPs. Actor Sharad Malhotra, who played the character of Buxi Jagadbandu on this historical drama, sounds rather emotional as the show concluded its run on March 5, 2022.

“It is human to get disappointed when all good things come to an end, but life moves on and so do we,” Malhotra said.

The actor, who made his acting debut in 2006 with Banoo Main Teri Dulhan, added that Buxi Jagadbandu was “the most complex and multi-layered characters she has played on-screen till date and shall cherish every moment spent on set with such a beautiful and talented ensemble cast.”

Also known for playing lead characters on shows such as Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap and Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki, Malhotra has yet not thought about the kind of roles that he wants to essay next. But one thing that he is sure of is that “they need to be performance-oriented and something that will push him out of his comfort zone”.

However, before committing to a new project, he is planning to go on a short vacation and unwind. “I want a breather before I take up another project. Thankfully, lots of work opportunities are knocking.,” he concluded.

We wish him all the very best for his future endeavours.
