Sonarika Bhadoria opens up about not getting her dues from the creators of 'Dastaan-E-Mohabbat'

Television actress Sonarika Bhadoria is popularly known for her portrayal of Goddess Parvati / Adi Shakti in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev (2011). She has been almost gone from television for several years after becoming a big figure with her performance in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev. After a five-year break, she returned to television with Prithvi Vallabh, followed by Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali (2018) and Ishq Mein Marjawan (2017).

The actor, who is presently awaiting the release of her film says, "I had shot for a film before the pandemic. The film is completely ready for theatrical release. The movie's release is getting postponed because of the pandemic as while during the first and second wave of the pandemic multiplexes were closed, the occupancy during the third wave wasn't that much."

Sonarika was in the headlines recently for not being paid her dues for the TV show Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali, and she claims she is still waiting for her hard-earned money, which totals over Rs 70 lakh. She stated, "It's been three years and I have still not been paid my dues. Apart from me, the dues of several other actors and technicians from the same show are pending. It was my worst time. Firstly, the first wave of COVID-19 had hit us, and then there was this issue of non-payment. We actors have this life of daily digging the well to drink water. I wish I get paid soon. Everything from my end in terms of legal formalities and paperwork is done."

Sonarika Bhadoria was last seen in the Colors TV show Ishq Me Marjawan (2017). She made her television debut in 2011 with Life OK's Tum Dena Saath Mera. In 2015, Bhadoria made her debut in Telugu cinema as Parvathi in Jadoogadu and later went on to star in a number of Telugu flicks.
