Farzi: Shahid Kapoor teams up with Vijay Sethupati, KK Menon for his digital debut
With Raj and DK's Farzi, Shahid Kapoor will make his OTT debut. Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, and Raashi Khanna are among the cast members.

Shahid Kapoor will be entering into the realm of OTT after a successful time as an actor on the big screen. In his first web series, Farzi, Shahid will star alongside Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashi Khanna, Regina Cassandra, Zakir Hussain, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, and Kubbra Sait and will be directed by Raj & DK of The Family Man fame. The first look of the Kabir Singh (2019) actor was unveiled by Amazon Prime Video, along with a sneak peak of his character's story.
Shahid has a rugged appearance in the first look of Farzi. He can be seen painting something while seated in a chair. We can see some of his paintings in the backdrop. The picture’s description reads, “An artist who gets pulled into the murky high stakes of a con job and a fiery task force officer on the mission to rid the country of his menaces in a fast-paced, edgy one-of-a-kind thriller.”
Farzi is a web series about bandits and counterfeit money. Kay Kay Menon, Amol Palekar, Kubbra Sait, Zakir Hussain, Regina Cassandra, and Bhuvan Arora play pivotal roles in the series. Farzi will also mark Shahid Kapoor and Kay Kay Menon’s second collaboration following the 2014 film, Haider.
Shahid Kapoor said he is excited to make his digital debut, as per a report in a news portal. He said, "I am excited to make my debut on OTT and Farzi is an exciting new show. We have a great cast and a totally new show."
Shahid Kapoor expressed his willingness to work with Raj and DK after seeing both seasons of The Family Man.
