Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one such filmmaker who has given Indian cinemas some of the best and classic masterpieces. Over the years, we have seen some of his best works including Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Padmaavat, Bajirao Mastani, and his latest Gangubai Kathiawadi. All of his films have broken box office records and become a magical experience for the audience. Now the star director is ready to recreate his magic on the screens but this time on your OTT screens. Netflix today announced the web series, ‘Heeramandi’ helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and with a huge female star cast. The teaser or the first glimpse was also unveiled today.

Heeramandi will show tales of courtesans as well as the unspoken cultural realities of the glamorous district of Heeramandi in the pre-independent India era. It is a television series about kotha politics, succession, and betrayal.
