Karan Johar speaks up on the trolls hurling hate toward ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives 2’

Netflix recently dropped the second season of ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’ and the people have split reactions. The show stars Seema Sajdeh, Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari and Bhavna Pandey. These women on the show take the audience behind the scenes of the glitz and glamour. The audience gets a sneak peek of what goes on, on that side of Tinseltown.

The reactions

Once the new season started to stream on the OTT platform, fans were quick to binge-watch the whole season. Several shared on their social media what their favourite drama moment was. With all the love also came the negative comments and worse trolls. Filmmaker Karan Johar has also bankrolled the show and is no newbie to social media trolls. He recently took to his social media and penned down a few lines about the show. The filmmaker not only accepted the cringe and scripting but also gave credit where it was due.

He wrote, “So never thought there would come a day where these fabulous friends of mine would be trending globally! So let’s put it in perspective! Of course, it’s cringy! (and bingy) Of course it’s guilty pleasure viewing (pleasure is still pleasure) Of course it may appear manicured and artificial (aren’t we all) Of course its far from being intellectually stimulating (don’t we need a break from that at times) BUT you gotta admit these girls have the sass and guts to put themselves out there knowing you may laugh at them!!!! I am super proud of them !! And love them dearly!!! You can troll Baby troll but it won’t stop them from Rock and Roll!!!! The show is being massively viewed and therein lies the validation! That’s what makes it fabulous!!!”
