Hiccups and Hookups, which was the first Hindi original show of Lionsgate Play, received a striking response worldwide, and the streaming platform is now all set to launch the 2nd season of the show.
Season one of the series acquired the title of the 'highest watched' show on the streaming platform. It is the story about a family consisting of a brother and sister and her teenage daughter. The sister, Vasu, recently separated from her husband and is trying to explore herself. There's also her brother Akhil, who is commitment-phobic, and daughter Kavanya, who is just experiencing the joys of adulthood.
Lara Dutta, who plays the role of Vasudha, is overjoyed about Hiccups and Hookups Season 2. She said, “Season 1 received a phenomenal response, and I am delighted that the viewers related to Vasudha. I would like to thank our viewers for all the love they have shown me, and the entire cast. We are all set to return with another entertaining season of Hiccups and Hookups, one with a lot of twists and turns, and frankly, I can’t wait to see how Vasudha’s life shapes up from here’.
Prateik Babbar, who plays her brother, Akhil, added, “We are excited to bring round 2 of Hiccups & Hookups to our fans. This time expect a lot of drama, action and adventure (pun-intended). The first installment was loved and appreciated, and I’m sure the new season will add to the love.”
Vasu, Akhil and Kay are coming back soon with more unfiltered conversations, dating advice and sibling banter in the upcoming season. Get your stomach ready for a good laugh and lots of drama.
