Raj & DK announce Guns and Gulaabs, a Netflix series about ‘misfits of the world’
The makers of Guns and Gulaabs stated that it would be a wicked genre mash.
Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, popularly known as Raj and DK, are two of the most famous filmmakers in Bollywood. The duo has just announced their upcoming project, Guns and Gulaabs, which will be made under the banner of D2R Films Production and premiere on Netflix.
According to the makers, the series will be about “misfits of the world” and will mix the romance of the 90s with crime thrillers. The project is the second collaboration of its makers with Netflix, the first being the Telugu film Cinema Bandi (2021).
Raj and DK said, “Last year, we had a great outing on Netflix with our indie gem, Cinema Bandi (2021). And now we look forward to a larger collaboration on our first Netflix series, Guns and Gulaabs. We are especially thrilled to roll out this wicked genre mash with some of the finest cast and crew from our country.”
The head of Netflix India series, Tanya Bami, said, "Bringing their unique storytelling style to Netflix, Raj and DK blend romance, crime, and the inimitable humour that’s signature to the duo, into Guns and Gulaabs, which will captivate audiences in India and across the world."
Meanwhile, Raj and DK are gearing up for their upcoming project with Shahid Kapoor, set at Amazon Prime Video. More details are expected to arrive soon.
