8 Years of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania: Varun Dhawan and Shashank Khaitan pen down an emotional note for Siddharth Shukla

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, celebrated its eight-year anniversary of release on Monday. Sidharth Shukla, the Bigg Boss 13 winner, made his Bollywood debut in the Shashank Khaitan movie from the Dharma Productions stable. The team even fondly remembered Shukla, who passed away last year after suffering a heart attack, as they exchanged touching letters remembering their time together on the joyous occasion.

Varun shared throwback images of Sidharth, Alia Bhatt, and himself taking a picture. Another old picture shows Varun and Sidharth Shukla grinning while seated at a table. The Juggjugg Jeeyo actor shared the post and captioned it, “8 years of #humptysharmakidhulania a very special film but today I remember it for the time I got to spend with sid on the film. He was kind-hearted, protective, and always passionate about work and friends." Varun also shared a picture on his Instagram story and wrote, "8 years of Humpty Sharma ki Dhulani some great memories with amazing people."

Director Shashank Khaitan celebrated the film’s anniversary and remembered Siddharth in his post. He wrote, "8 years of #hskd … At times it feels like yesterday and at times another lifetime… So much has happened in just 8 years … Varun got Married. Karan had babies. I had a baby. Alia got married and is about to have a baby. Many of my HODs who were kids then, now have babies … Okay enough of baby talk. Raj and Bhanu went on to become film Directors. We battled through Covid. Siddharth Shukla left us for a better place."
