Alia Bhatt announces the release date for Gangubai Kathiawadi and it has a Ranbir Kapoor connect
Alia Bhatt recently posted a picture on Instagram announcing the release date of her upcoming movie Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Alia Bhatt is undoubtedly one of the finest actresses of Bollywood who never fails to amaze us with her remarkable performances. The actress is quite active on social media and doesn't fail to keep her fans updated about the ongoings in her life. Today, she posted a picture on Instagram on a moonlit night and announced the release date of her forthcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi.
What caught fans’ attention was the fact that Bhatt used his boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor’s hit song “Dekho Chand Aaya… Chand Nazar Aaya” as the caption of her photo. “Dekho chand aaya...chand nazar aaya. Gangu bhi aa rahi hai… 25th February ko,” she wrote.
In the picture, she can be seen wrapped in a shawl. Her bare face with absolutely no makeup and open hair makes her look as beautiful and glowing as the moon. She posed with her back facing towards the camera and turned around showing her perfect smile.
Fans quickly started pouring in and showered their love on her post. Her bestie Akansha Ranjan Kapoor got excited and commented, "Haanji". She further hinted through her post that her much awaited film Gangubai Kathiawadi will be releasing on 25th February 2022.
This will be Alia's second biopic after Raazi (2018) wherein we saw her playing a cop. However, in Gangubai Kathiawadi, she'll be seen playing the character of a prostitute who soon becomes a powerful underworld figure. It is helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Jayantilal Gada.
