Ayushmann believes that an Action Hero, which features him and Jaideep Ahlawat as the two main heroes, can be without a female lead. He also admitted that there isn't a love story in the film.

According to Ayushmann Khurrana, the decision was not to include a forced romantic song because it might distract from the main plot. The lead actor did reveal Malaika Arora, and Nora Fatehi will make cameo cameos in the film. When the host questioned him about why Nora's song was featured in An Action Hero, Ayushmann said that Nora is a terrific performer and that audiences enjoy her.
