HILARIOUS: Amitabh Bachchan Claims To Have Been 'Arrested' After Pictures Of Himself Without A Helmet Go VIRAL; Netizens Respond 'Akhirkar Don Ko Pakad Lia'

Even after receiving a punishment from the Mumbai Police for not wearing a helmet while riding pillion on a motorcycle, Amitabh Bachchan's spirits seem unfazed.

The actor had posted a picture of himself and joked that he had taken a lift from a stranger, only to later admit that it was from a shoot. Amitabh cracked yet another joke on Friday, posting a photo of himself standing next to a police van looking dejected with the caption, "Arrested."

Fans were certain that the actor was making another joke. An admirer wrote, “Highly Unlikely! But your Swag is outstanding for sure!” In the comments, someone referred to one of his well-known quotes: “Don …..Don …..Don …….Don ka intezar toh 11 mulkon ki police kar rahi hai! Lekin Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahin, namumkin hai! (Police of 11 countries is waiting for Don but its not just difficult but impossible to catch him).” A further person wrote, "Aakhirkar Don ko Mumbai Police ne pakad liya (finally the Mumbai Police caught the Don)." Additionally, a fan tweeted, "arrested for life in our hearts sir amitabhbachchan."

"Thank you for the trip friend... I don't know you, yet you complied and got me to my destination quickly and without getting stuck in insurmountable traffic jams. Thank you, owner (sic) of the cap, shorts, and faded T-shirt. As he sat on the bike's back seat, he was dressed in a casual bottom, a jacket, white trainers and sunglasses.

While Rohit Bose Roy remarked, "You are the coolest person on the planet, Amit ji! ", his granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda flooded it with love and eye emojis. I love you so much. Insisting that it was genuine, Sayani Gupta had stated, " “You are the coolest dude on earth Amit ji! Love you.” Thinking it was true, Sayani Gupta had also commented, “Had always heard Mr Bachchan has always been the most punctual. Can see today what honouring Time truly means to you. I hope actors can learn a thing or two from this.”

Later, he had clarified on his blog, writing, "The impotency of content .. Much made out of the bike picture .. ! How you moving on street with stranger ..? No security ..? You are loved take care ..? And then .. NO HELMET .. !!!!!! The fact of the matter is that this is on location shoot on the street of Mumbai ..It is Sunday .. formal permission taken for shoot at a lane in Ballard Estate .. permission sought for Sunday because all offices are shut and there is no public or traffic .. One lane in the region BLOCKED off by Police permission for shoot .. the lane barely 30-40 meters .. The dress I wear is my costume for the film ..(sic)"

He added, "and .. I am just fooling around by getting on the bike of a crew member .. Not even moving any where, but giving the impression that i travelled to save time ..(sic)".

Amitabh is now in the middle of filming Ribhu Dasgupta's Section 84. He will also appear in the science fiction film Project K, directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.
