Indian documentaries, ‘The Elephant Whispers’ & ‘All That Breathes’ made it to the OSCARS 2023 nominations; Check out!
Apart from RRR’s song, ‘Naatu Naatu’ making it in the Best Original song category for the Oscars, two Indian-made documentaries have also entered the prestigious nominations.

Actors Alison Williams and Riz Ahmed made the announcement of the Oscar nominees yesterday. On March 12, Los Angeles will host the 95th Academy Awards ceremony. The show's host will be Jimmy Kimmel. The movie RRR's song 'Naatu Naatu' has been nominated for "Best Original Score." The documentary short subject film "The Elephant Whisperers" from Tamil also received a nomination. At the 2023 Oscars, "All That Breathes" is a nominee in the category of "Documentary Feature Film."
The 95th Academy Awards have nominated The Elephant Whisperers, an Indian documentary short film, in the category of Best Documentary Short Film. In Tamil Nadu's Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, a family adopts two orphaned baby elephants. Kartiki Gonsalves directed the 41-minute documentary short film. The movie was produced by Achin Jain and Guneet Monga. Other documentaries up for awards in this category are The Martha Mitchell Effect and Stranger At The Gate.

India has received an Oscar nomination for Shaunak Sen's documentary All That Breathes in the category of Documentary Feature Film. Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shehzad, two brothers who have made it their life's work to rescue and care for injured birds, notably Black Kites, are the subjects of the movie All That Breathes. All That Breathes is up against All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, Fire of Love, A House Made of Splinters, and Navalny in the Best Documentary Feature Film category. T Although HBO Documentary Films has already purchased the documentary, no Indian OTT provider currently offers it for streaming.
The popular dance song "Naatu Naatu" from SS Rajamouli's megahit "RRR" resumed its winning streak and made our country proud by receiving a coveted nomination on Tuesday. The songs "Applause" from "Tell It Like a Woman," "Hold My Hand" from "Top Gun: Maverick," "Lift Me Up" from "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," and "This Is" are in direct competition with "Naatu Naatu."
