It is often said that in Bollywood, there are no permanent friends or enemies. Fall-outs and patch-ups happen at the drop of a hat and our celebs keep surprising us by their blow-hot-blow-cold conduct towards each other.
Recently, at Manish Malhotra's star-studded Diwali bash, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor posed together for a picture alongside Madhuri Dixit. In no time, the picture went viral on social media, with netizens hailing it as B-town's 'Selena and Hailey' moment.
Noteworthy, what connects the two lovely actresses is Abhishek Bachchan. Karisma Kapoor got engaged to Abhishek Bachchan in 2002, but the engagement was called off after a few months. This ended their relationship of a few years and no reason was given for the break-up.
On 29 September 2003, Karisma married industrialist Sunjay Kapur, the CEO of Sixt India, in a high-profile Sikh wedding ceremony at her ancestral home, Krishna Raj Bungalow, in Mumbai. Years later, in 2014, they filed for divorce through mutual consent, which was finalised in 2016.
On the other hand, Abhishek Bachchan fell in love with Aishwarya Rai whilst filming for Dhoom 2 in 2005. They got engaged on 14 January 2007 and tied the knot on 20 April the same year, according to traditional Hindu rituals. The wedding was a private ceremony, held at the Bachchan residence, Prateeksha, in Mumbai's Juhu.
Given the past history of Karisma and Aishwarya, fans were left surprised at their camaraderie. Some even compared it with Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber's surprising PDA at the 2022 Academy Awards. For starters, Selena Gomez is singer Justin Bieber’s ex and Hailey Bieber is his wife.
Nonetheless, one thing is clear that Lolo and Aish have definitely buried the hatchet and there's no bad blood between the two. And we are only too happy about it!
