Nawazuddin Siddiqui Seeks 'Settlement' With Ex-Wife Aaliya After Filling Rs 100 Crore Defamation Case Against Her! (Details Inside)

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently sent a 'settlement draft' to the lawyer representing his separated wife, Aaliya, to reach a settlement. This occurred a day after the actor sued his ex-wife and brother for defamation totalling Rs 100 crore. The timing of this settlement draught has been questioned by Aaliya's lawyer, who also claimed that any consent provision drafted by the two parties would call for the defamation lawsuit to be dropped in exchange for any settlement between the actor and his divorced wife.

On Monday, March 27, the actor and his estranged wife appeared before the Bombay high court. The actor's wife had petitioned the court to have the FIR filed by his family quashed, and the judge had ruled that the two should attempt to resolve their differences peacefully.

Following this, the actor's lawyer emailed a copy of the proposed settlement to advocate Rizwan Siddiquee on Saturday night, which stated: "These consent terms are open for discussion. We expect to receive your proposed terms before the hearing, which is on March 27, 2023."

Both Siddiqui's lawyer and his wife's lawyer had told another bench of the Bombay High Court on March 23 that they were willing to put all issues behind them for the sake of their children during a hearing of a habeas corpus petition that had been filed by Siddiqui himself requesting the growth of his children.
