According to recent rumors, Aashiqui 3's producers will introduce a new face to play alongside Kartik Aaryan in this third installment of the franchise.

Mukesh Bhatt, the film's producer and partner with Bhushan Kumar, had stated that he is still looking for a leading actress and has started a thorough casting process. The producer now has exclusive access to the soundtrack for this Anurag Basu film. Bhatt said he wouldn't be re-creating well-known songs from parts one and two of Aashiqui for the third installment.

‘I believe in originals; I don't believe in recreations.

Both Aashiqui 1 and Aashiqui 2 included unique music. I am capable of writing my music. I have a year to complete the music, so the songs are on par with parts one and two. I have to work on that; it's a huge undertaking,’ Mukesh Bhatt says.

September 2022 saw the official announcement of Aashiqui 3.
