R Madhavan trolled for making unverified comments on Mission Mars
While some expressed disappointment over the actor's unsubstantiated comments, others lashed out at him by calling him a 'WhatsApp Uncle'.

R Madhavan is busy promoting his upcoming film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which is all set to release in the coming week. During one of the promotional sprees for the project, Madhavan spoke about ISRO employing Panchang for the Mars Orbiter Mission, for which he has been drawing a lot of criticism.
The actor, during a media interaction at the film promotion, stated that the Panchang had assisted ISRO in launching a rocket into space and placing it in Mars' orbit.
While some expressed sheer disappointment over the actor's unsubstantiated comments, others lashed out at him by calling him a 'WhatsApp Uncle'.
"Science is not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s ok not to know Science. But it’s better to keep your bloody mouth shut when you’ve no idea as to how things actually work; instead of quoting some WhatsApp stuff and making a mockery of yourself," wrote a Twitter user.
Now coming to Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, the movie is a biographical drama based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation, who was falsely accused of espionage.
The film is written, produced and directed by R. Madhavan, who is also playing the titular lead role. The story spans across Narayanan's days as a graduate student at Princeton University, before exploring his work as a scientist and the false espionage charges placed upon him.
The movie was shot simultaneously in three languages viz. Tamil, Hindi and English. It is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 1 July 2022.
