Ranveer also has a number of upcoming projects, including the Cirkus, a film directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, and Varun Sharma. The film will open in theatres throughout the world on December 23, 2022. Angoor, a 1982 Hindi movie, is the loose inspiration for Cirkus.
In addition to this, Ranveer has the romantic comedy Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani from Karan Johar, starring Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan. The movie is slated to premiere in theatres on April 28, 2023. The actor from Gunday will also appear in director Shankar's upcoming movie, an official remake of the popular Tamil film Anniyan from 2005, which starred Vikram and Sadha in the major roles.
