The film's trailer will play ahead of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan in theatres, as per the reports. Earlier, the makers shared the film's poster featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. The poster features Ranbir holding Shraddha in his arms. The pose illustrates the iconic Barsaat poster from 1949, which has Raj Kapoor and Nargis. The duo posed romantically, and their expressions were dramatic. The poster explains why Shraddha Kapoor said, "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. Nautanki > Couple Goals." Luv Ranjan helms the film.
