Sonali Bendre reveals her cancer surgery left her with a 23-24-inch scar

Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre was diagnosed with metastatic cancer back in 2018. The cancer was quickly treated because it was discovered at an early stage. With this major event, however, Sonali's life took an unexpected turn, and it was a difficult time for her and her family. She definitely emerged stronger, and her outlook on life has shifted as well.

The Sarfarosh (1999) actress revealed in an interview that she and her husband Goldie Behl frequently use BC and AC, which stands for before cancer and after cancer. She said, “What Goldie and I say is BC and AC, which is before cancer and after cancer. You go through something and you learn some lessons. And, if you have not learned them, then it’s really sad. I think there were a couple of lessons from it (the cancer diagnosis). The point is reminding each other that it’s not the goal, but the process and the journey that’s important.”

The actress went on to say that the physical changes in her looks during her cancer struggle were a difficult time in her life. She talked about her New York surgery, which left her with a 23–24-inch scar across her body. Her doctors also recommended she begin walking as soon as possible because they were concerned that she would get an illness that would be resistant to medications.
