Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez gave a statement to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police in court on Saturday after learning some crucial details regarding the Rs 200 crore fraud case involving imprisoned conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

According to Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (recording of confessions and statements), her statement was recorded (CrPC). The hearing in the money laundering case between Jacqueline and multimillionaire con artist Sukesh Chandrashekhar was postponed by the Patiala House court on Thursday to December 12.

Jacqueline had already received pre-arrest bail from the court on November 15. Jacqueline had lately been named in the second additional charge sheet that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had filed. The court awarded her temporary protection from arrest on September 26.

Jacqueline And Nora as witnesses

Jacqueline and Nora Fatehi, two more well-known Bollywood stars, have provided recorded statements as witnesses in the litigation.

ED seized Jacqueline’s assets

The ED had previously seized Jacqueline's assets and fixed deposits worth Rs 7.2 crore. The investigation agency referred to the gifts and properties as "proceeds" of crime that the actor had received.

Pinky Irani

Pinky Irani, a purported aide of Chandrashekhar, is accused of introducing him to Bollywood actors. The ED filed its first supplemental charge sheet against Pinky Irani in February. Pinky allegedly used to pick out pricey presents for Jacqueline and deliver them to her house after Chandrashekhar made the payments, according to the charge sheet. The investigation team submitted the first charge sheet in this case in December of last year.

Suresh Chandrashekhar

Chandrashekhar reportedly spent approximately 20 crore rupees on various Bollywood stars and models. Some people had declined his offerings.
