Tiger Shroff resumes filming Heropanti 2

Heropanti 2, directed by Ahmed Khan and starring Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria, is one of the most awaited films of the year, and one news portal has learned that the Sajid Nadiadwala-backed venture is currently in its last stages of production, with Khan also starting work on the editing. According to reports, Shroff began filming for a large-scale song in a Mumbai studio, with another set to begin next week.

The film has five lovely songs composed by AR Rahman, written by lyricist Mehboob Kotwal, and choreographed by him, Ahmed told a news website. Three of them have already been shot, with the remaining two being shot in Mumbai. One song, according to the director, is a captivating Qawwali number written by Rahman following "Kun Faya Kun" from Rockstar (2011). He indicated that they have begun filming for this as of today, taking into account all of the COVID-19 protocols.

Interestingly, Ahmed Khan, AR Rahman, and Mehboob the trio had previously collaborated on Ram Gopal Varma's 1995 romantic comedy Rangeela, and they have reunited for Heropanti 2 after 27 years.

“Sajid bhai wanted us to recreate the magic of Rangeela. He said go all out with the songs and has been a big support all through this journey. Both the songs will be shot on massive sets. While one will be high on emotions, the other one will be VFX heavy with the modern tech in use. All the five songs will be presented in a unique way giving the composition, writing and choreography its due respect,” states Ahmed.
