'Baadshaho' is bringing in big moolah at the box office; holds well on Monday!
The Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi starrer Baadshaho is performing beyond expectations despite receiving not so good reviews.
Starring Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta in lead roles, Baadshaho is performing slightly better than anticipated. After raking in approximately Rs. 43.30 crores over its first weekend at the box office, the film put up a decent show on Monday and minted over Rs. 6.82 crores. Resultantly, the four-day stretch of the Milan Luthria directorial totals Rs. 52.12 crores at the domestic box office, which is indeed a good sign for the industry which has seen some big films sinking without a trace in 2017.
Released across 3000 screens, Baadshaho opened its account with Rs 12.6 crores and went on to collect Rs. 15.60 crores on Saturday and on Sunday the film maintained its growth and pulled in Rs. 15.10 crores. After wrapping up its first week at Rs. 43.30 crores, the movie added another Rs. 6.82 crores on Monday and took its total to a respectable box office cume.
The multi-star cast film is truly benefiting from the lack of competition in the marketplace. However, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, which also released alongside Baadshaho and is attracting a good chunk of the audience, could not create much competition for the Ajay Devgn starrer because the content of both the films was completely different from each other and targeted a different set of audiences.
By end of tomorrow, Baadshaho is expected to cross Rs. 60 crores mark. But it will be interesting to see whether or not it manages to go past Rs. 75 crores mark by the end of its one week run at the ticket window.
