Time and again it has been proven that content is the real king. When big films with immense promotions fell flat, content oriented films saw a positive light in Bollywood lately. Similar is the case with Bareilly Ki Barfi directed by talented filmmaker Ashwini Iyer Tiwari! The small budget movie that stars Ayushman Khurana , Kriti Sanon , Rajkummar Rao in the lead has been declared a hit by the trade experts. It has garnered positive reviews from critics as well as the audience.
On Week 3, the film made Rs. 40 lakhs on Friday, Rs. 1 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 1.10 crores on Sunday. It further made Rs. 36 lakhs on Monday, and Rs. 45 lakhs on Tuesday. Hence, the total collection stands at Rs. 30.33 crores at the domestic front. The movie has been made with a small budget and hence has easily recovered its production cost.
Bareilly Ki Barfi is set in a small town that narrates a refreshing tale of Bitti who is a free-spirited girl in search of love but the story has an interesting third angle twist. The movie has managed to remain steady despite the new releases and it is a triumph for the team!
