Bareilly Ki Barfi has been performing decently at the box-office front. The movie that stars Ayushman Khurana , Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao in the lead has been widely appreciated by the audience and industry insiders. However, the film has received mixed reviews from the critics but carries a positive word of mouth. The film is set at a small town backdrop and is a refreshing love story with a third angle twist.
The film made Rs. 2.42 crores on its opening Friday, Rs. 3.85 crores on Saturday and growing further, it made Rs. 5.03 crores on Sunday. The movie survived on Monday, passing the test it raked in Rs. 1.85 crores. Hence the total collection stands at Rs. 13.37 crores. The movie has been made on a small tight budget and hence cost recovery does not seem a problem if the same pace is maintained during the weekdays.
Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s directorial has a refreshing and sweet storyline. The film can have a sturdy total if it remains stable during the week days as well. The actors have been flooded with messages appreciating their performance. Actor Ayushman Khurana was overwhelmed by the love and he expressed gratitude on twitter with a small video. In the film, Kriti essays a modern free-spirited girl who is search of an author. Rajkummar Rao essays the author while Ayushman plays the publisher’s role.
