Day 1 revenue for ‘Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway’ was Rs. 1.27 crore. The movie brought in Rs 2.50 crore on Day 2, bringing its total to Rs 3.77 crore. The movie's performance drastically declined on Day 5, when it barely made Rs 1.05 crore. As a result, the overall domestic box office revenue is now Rs 8.38 crore. These aren't particularly high figures. On March 21, Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway had a 9.91 percent total Hindi occupancy.

The video is based on the book The Journey of a Mother by Sagarika Chakraborty, a mother whose children were taken away from her by the Norwegian Childcare system (Barnevernet) in 2011.
