' Ek Tha Tiger ' - a much hyped film of Salman Khan released on 15 August, 2012. Due to the craze of Salman Khan , his fans were eagerly waiting to watch his film and many people even did pre booking so that they don't miss his first day first show.
A lot of Salman's fans got tickets through advance booking also. Many shows of many theatres were houseful even though its ticket rates were increased between 12 to 16% in multiplexes.
It is reported that this film earned above INR 32 Crores on its first day which is a record in Bollywood (to earn biggest money on opening day). Earlier ' Agneepath ' of Sanjay Dutt & Hrithik Roshan had set record to be the biggest opener but now ' Ek Tha Tiger ' has broken its record.
