First weekend box-office collection of 'PK'

Winning the likes of critics and audiences, 'PK' finally brought the better days back to box-office after the bunch of disastrous November and half-December releases.

'PK' headed to theatres on a non-holiday weekend, yet it registered a successful start fetching Rupees 26.63 Cr on day one. But on Saturday, the film experienced a subsequent drop in Rajasthan, Gujarat and NCR, making the business of Rupees 30.34 Cr. While, Sunday being a universal week-off contributed to the film's collection by adding Rupees 36.40 Cr. Thus, the overall first weekend box-office collection of film 'PK' is Rupees 93.37 Cr on domestic front.

Though, the film didn't cross the 100 Crore mark in its first weekend, yet it has a brighter future ahead as 'PK' has the advantage of being a cheerful film which audience would prefer in this Christmas week.
